There are areas where the stand consists mainly of crack willow, hazel, willow, and other species from which the production of roundwood is not economically viable. There are also areas that have become overgrown with dense brush and require clearing.

When is the brush cutting service suitable?

Is a felling permit required for brush cutting and clearing?

Clearing brush and undergrowth on forest land generally does not require a special permit from the Environmental Board. This rule applies if the diameter of the woody plants to be removed, measured at a height of 1.2 meters, is less than 8 centimeters.

However, for more extensive felling works, clear legal requirements and restrictions come into play.

When is a felling permit and coordination mandatory?

Thinning and clear-cutting in the forest: To carry out more extensive forestry work, there must always be a felling permit (forest notification) approved by the Environmental Board. If the area of your forest property exceeds 5 hectares, a valid forest management plan is also a prerequisite for felling.
Protected areas and regions with special conditions: In nature reserves, key habitats, and protection zones for endangered species, all brush clearing and felling work must be coordinated with the Environmental Board before starting.
Vicinity of water bodies and water protection zones: Any cutting of trees and brush near the shores of water bodies and within water protection zones is prohibited without a special permit from the Environmental Board. In the limited management zone of the shore, brush clearing by way of clear-cutting is permitted on areas up to 2 hectares.
Work on residential land and in densely populated areas: On private residential properties and in densely populated areas, felling works are regulated by the maintenance rules of the local government. A permit application from the municipality is required for cutting brush and trees. You can find the contact details for the relevant official on the local government's website.

What to consider when stacking brush?

It is recommended to collect and stack the material gathered during brush clearing in areas adjacent to access roads or maintenance tracks, thereby ensuring convenient access for subsequent chipping and transport.

How we work?

Excavator with a guillotine – precision and performance. We perform brush cutting with a specialized guillotine designed for brush clearing, mounted on a high-mobility excavator.

It can easily cut both thin brush and thicker trees.
The excavator's long boom allows for the safe and precise clearing of steep ditch banks, power line corridors, and roadsides that conventional machinery cannot reach.
The guillotine cuts the trunks close to the ground, leaving a neat result.

Forwarder – soil-friendly transport

The cut material is not left to rot in the forest. Our powerful forwarder collects the brush gathered by the guillotine and brings it to the storage landing.

High load capacity ensures the rapid flow of work.
Wide tires and low ground pressure ensure that the forest floor and roads remain as undamaged as possible. If the soil is nevertheless damaged, we offer post-felling soil restoration with an excavator.
